COPPER OXIDE, also known as CUPRIC OXIDE, is a black powder with the chemical formula CuO. It is insoluble in water and is commonly used as a pigment in ceramics to produce blue, red, and green glazes. COPPER OXIDE is also used as a dietary supplement for animals and as a precursor in the production of other copper compounds.
