Description
CATECHOL, also known as pyrocatechol, is a white crystalline compound with the chemical formula C6H4(OH)2. It is a dihydroxybenzene and is used primarily as a precursor to other chemicals, such as pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and fragrances. CATECHOL is also used in the production of photographic developers, as a stabilizer in the production of resins, and as a chemical intermediate in various other industrial processes.
